..been a bad girl.

Warning: Extremely long post ahead.

Ok, So I've been bad. It's been 3 weeks since my last post and I feel horrible neglecting my newly established bloggity blog. Oh geez. So I have some updates for ya.

Missed week # 1&2 -  Not much happened the first two missed weeks. I just pretty much went into nesting mode. Trying to clean everything and prepare for baby loves arrival. I finally got the dresser/changing table in her room, hung up some cheap-o art (I only spent about $30 on the whole gallery, more to come on that). On a side note, I HAVE THE BEST NEIGHBORS EVER! I woke up from my daily nap to this. One of my neighbors dropped this off. It's a stuffed doggy w/frame and a card with some mulah in it. How generous is that?! If you look closely at the card it reads "Baby Love" aww. Thank you ladies.

FABRICS ARE FINALIZED! - Yay for that. I found some pretty pink shimmery fabric at Hancock fabrics for 2.95/yd. Woo to the Hoo. I'm using the fabric to make her crib skirt since I am super picky and can't seem to find anything I like or too expensive (think $200 for crib skirt) Um no thank you!

I also ordered fabric for her curtains which totally was not what I had planned on getting. I got this chevron print fabric in yellow/white by Premier Fabrics. Originally I was going to go with this floral print by Waverly (Lovely Leaves).

I already had about 2 yards that I purchased over a year ago simply because it was a pretty pattern so when we found out we were having a girl I immediately thought about incorporating it in her nursery. So since I want to use the chevron pattern instead I'm going to reupholster a bench and if there is any left possibly make a pillow. I also used some of the fabric on this little project...more to come on that.

As far as some artwork goes, I created a a piece to hang next to her crib above the bench I'm working on. It's simple and I love it and I created it just for her. I created using Photoshop CS5 and used an online website to have the poster printed for me. I am super excited I just hope that the print turns out good and not too blurry. I'm still an amateur so I guess we'll wait and see.

There is a few things left to finish in there. I'm taking my time, no rush. I know it won't be finished by the time my little one comes but it's ok. She won't know the difference. LOL

Missed Week #3 (10/10- present) - So 10/10/10= my lucky birthday! Yep, I celebrated yet another annual 21st birthday. I guess this would the 6th time to celebrate it including the actual 21st b-day..which in turn makes me 26. Oh geez. Had a great dinner with my "Manfriend" (we're not married, engaged and certainly not boyfriend-too high school) LOL. After dinner we came home. Started to get pain on my right side, swollen feet/hands and my blood pressure was up. So we decided to make a trip to the ER.

*BACK STORY*
I had pre-eclampsia with my boys so it was very likely that I would have it this time around. At 37 weeks my BP would rise and by 38 wks my babies would be here.

Long story short. We were in and out of the hospital all last week and have been getting blood pressure checks every 2-3 days. Ill get down to details when I post up the birth story. But as far as we know it looks like she will be here Thursday via C-Section. We won't know until Wednesday for sure the time/date but he said more than likely on 10/21. I'm excited, anxious, nervous..everything under the sun as you can imagine. I can't wait to meet our little princess. I wonder who she will look like. Her brothers are excited as well. A big change from when we first announced that we were pregnant. The first thing they said was "She's not allowed in our room" and "She's going to tell on us" lol silly boys. Ahh, I can't wait.

I'll keep you posted. But for now I'll leave you with this short survey.

How Far Along: 38 wks 4 days

Total Weight Gain: 26 lbs (Not including the 10 I gained before my 1st OB appt) *sigh*

Maternity Clothes: Wearing maternity bottoms & non-maternity tops. Although I'm HUGE right about now I can still manage to squeeze into them. HOWEVER, I cannot for the life of me fit my arms into my jackets from last fall.  Oh geez!

Stretch Marks: Yep. But it seems as they are only adding on the my old ones. It's weird. Like they "magically" re-appeared once I started getting bigger. BOO to that.

Best Moment this Week: Getting some good sleep 2 nights this past week. Yes, it was awesome!

Movement: Oh yeah. She's my tiny dancer!

Food Cravings: Not really anything specific throughout the pregnancy. Still just eating whatever sounds good.

Labor Signs: Braxton-Hicks...you little bastards.

Belly Button Innie or Outtie: Innie but it looks like it wants to come out. The outer edges stick out every once in awhile but I think it's gonna be an innie til the end.

: Welcoming our little lady into this world!!!

Slowly but Surely

Nursery. In progress. Yeah. Oh so I sit here just wishing that Baby Loves room would magically put itself together because I have no motivation to so whatsoever. I have been working on little projects for her room but all I need now is to finally start putting stuff up. This is what it looked like before, when we first moved in.

Anywho, see the ugly Pepto Pink blotchy walls? (Not that there is anything wrong w/pink walls) but we definitely were not going to leave it like this. Being the paint whore that I am I immediately started looking through my paint chips, doing research, stalking blogs for ideas. Once we found out it Bean was a girl I chose a paint color that she could grow into and was not too "girly".

*PLEASE EXCUSE ALL THE JUNK ON THE FLOOR.*
..and I LOVE IT. I want her room to have a vintage-y-modern feel (yes folks I made that word up, or the spelling of it at least). I'm not working with a specific budget but I am NOT trying to break the bank either. I've scored some really good deals and have done a lot of DIY which I can't wait to share with you that I still need to blog about but I don't want to bombard you with it all at once. I will try to post about each "project" each day...I said "try".

Here are the things that I have done thus far:
- Paint the room, ceiling & closet
- Paint trim
- Put up the crib (generous gift from G-ma & G-pa Moore)
- Purchase the rug (from Target)
- Refinished dresser/changing table
- Refinished vintage dresser
- Wall letters
- Wall art

Stuff I still need to do (besides put it up) & or purchase:
- Make final decision on fabrics used for curtains/crib bedding
- Rocker/glider & ottoman
- Mobile
- Crib bedding
- DIY curtains
- Lamp
- Small side table.
- More wall art/stuff
- Poms

Doesn't seem like a whole lot left to do. I just need to get the dresser/changing table in her room (which should be tomorrow - Sat.) so I can start putting stuff up on the walls. Yes people, that's what's holding me back besides my lack of motivation lol.

Until next time my lovelies.

35/35!

So today marks 35/35. We are 35 weeks and have 35 days to go until D-Day (hopefully sooner). I do need a picture which I don't have. I will leave you with week 34.

How Far Along: 35 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: 22 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Wearing maternity bottoms & non-maternity tops. Although I'm HUGE right about now I can still manage to squeeze into them. HOWEVER, I cannot for the life of me fit my arms into my jackets from last fall.  Oh geez!

Stretch Marks: I have two tiny (about 1/8") squiggly lines on my belly. I'm definitely lathering on the creams on that baby.

Best Moment this Week: 35/35 people. That's enough to make me happy.

Movement: Oh yeah. She's on a schedule that's for sure.

Food Cravings: Not really anything specific throughout the pregnancy although this week I had a D'Jorno Four Cheese pizza 3 days in a row...and I'm still wanting another one.

Labor Signs: No..

Belly Button Innie or Outtie: Innie but it looks like it wants to come out.

What are You Looking Forward to this Week: Finishing up her nursery amongst other things.

Joined the bandwagon..finally!

So here we are after months of playing stalker-attzi to many other blogs out there I finally decided to blog. I actually decided quite awhile ago that I would be documenting my pregnancy, upcoming arrival and life after baby is born but it wasn't until now that I finally hunkered down to actually do it. So my blog doesn't look like much much now. I do plan on making it my own within time but for now this will do.

I look forward to sharing my thoughts, experiences, opinions, DIY-ing, and everything else in between.
